State Language Proficiency Assessments
All Multilingual Learners (NEP and LEP), including students with disabilities, must participate in the state English language proficiency assessment system. Details found on the Colorado Department of Education page ACCESS Testing.
Our Program
There are 51 different languages represented in the Harrison School District 2 CLDE Program. Spanish is the dominant language of all Multilingual Learners (MLs) at 93%.
The top six home languages are Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Dari (Farsi, Eastern), Arabic, and Swahili.
We provide language services to over 1000 active NEP/LEP students and oversee over 490 ELL Monitor students.
ML students make up about 27% of the total district enrollment.
